  1. I hate Bonfire night. I hated it the minute the loudest fireworks that go bang were created. I just wish that fireworks could only be bought by those that organise events, that have a license to buy and not just the public. It will certainly help reduce the stupidity of fireworks that are set off everyday before Halloween, right through till after the New Year. I feel lucky that there has been a few quiet days where I live this year.

    • Ugh I am so glad there is someone else out there who doesn’t think I am a kill joy and who understands the bonfire night anxieties! Could not agree with you more on the need for rules about fireworks rather than any random person being able to get their hands on explosives…HOW CAN EXPLOSIVES BE SO READILY AVAILABLE? Might have to move house to wherever you live, the bangs started in my area on October 14th! MADNESS I TELL YOU. Hope your area stays quiet this weekend, I will be thinking of you! x

      • Thank you.

When it started a few days before Halloween, I found myself jumping and squealing at times in the home this year. When I squealed, I kind of laughed at myself when I first done it, because I have not done this before. But it wasn’t funny after, as I felt so on edge.

You would think some serious law came in now, about fireworks.

  2. Thank you for posting this. I have a friend who struggles with Bonfire Night and feels silly because she thinks it is ‘childish’ I will send her the link to this and I think it will really help her to realise that she’s not alone. I hope you’re ok and that the ‘booms’ haven’t been too distressing for you.

P.S. I love watching your videos – your personality really comes across and they are really entertaining 🙂

    • Definitely tell your friend that she is literally the opposite of alone and that I will be thinking of her over the next few days! Tell her she is in good company with bonfire night fears (arrogantly assuming I am good company…maybe just say company)… really hope it helps and thank you for letting me know that I am not alone either! Also what you said about my video and personality really made me smile and gave me my usual Catherine boost. Thank you so much, you are wonderful and I am sending a big hug your way…maybe two big hugs…MAYBE THREE XX
